San Shoppell is an activist and a lifelong champion for peace, women’s rights and the environment. San grew up in a military working-class family of ten, which relocated often along the East Coast, twice to Rhode Island. She now calls Riverside home. Over the years San Shoppell has ‘worn many hats:’ artist, organizer, hospitality worker, world traveler, entrepreneur, teacher, and caregiver; these experiences have shaped her outlook on life.
“My parents taught me to speak up against wrong doings and to leave the world in a better place than you found it. There is plenty of work to be done.”
